This week the children are learning all about Diwali. They will be making diva lamps, dawali sweets , reading the story of Sita and Rama and lots more!!

We love Wigan Athletic, it is so much fun!

We looked amazing with our hats!

The children have been discussing Autumn and the many events that happen through it. They explained that Bonfire night was very exciting and full of energy! So in PE we explored our bodies and showed ways of expressing movements as if it was a firework, fire or sparkler.

On Friday each child will come home with a paper bag with instructions to collect Autumn Treasures. Please bring these back the first week after half term. Thank you.

This week is English the children have been reading the story Room on the broom. The children have really enjoyed the book and Miss Warren thought it would be a good idea if we all became witches! Witches like to make special brews full of horrible ingredients so the children thought of some ingredients to put in their witches brew and Alfie stirred it together. We thought of lots of things that we would like our potion to create, Jacob said”a rug with some seats on it” Meredith said “a slide ” Megan said ” a car that can fly and has a slide in it”. The children said a special spell over the brew and suddenly a big door appeared on the floor.  Miss Warren went to investigate but she couldn’t open the door, so she asked for Alfie’s help, but it still wouldn’t open! So she asked lots of the other children to come and help but it still wouldn’t open! Stanley said he had a key to the door ! So we tried to use the key but it still wouldn’t open! We have left the door now but hopefully we will find a key soon…
