On Tuesday it was KS1 sports day. The sun was shining and it was a beautiful day. Year 1 took part in all sorts of different races such as, sprint, egg and spoon, sack, skipping, obstacle, bean bag and relay. The wolves were the winning team but everyone showed fantastic sportsmanship throughout the day, well done KS1!!

This week Year 1 took part in the ‘Great Plastic Pick Up’. We went outside into the woodland area and on to the field to see if we could find any litter. We stayed safe by using our litter pickers to pick up any rubbish we found and we reported any sharp objects to an adult immediately. Year 1 did a great job and made our school grounds lovely and clean again, well done Year 1!

Today in class one we went outside for maths. We took part in some games called ‘problematic pairs’, ‘dastardly dienes’ and ‘shape show off’. We all had lots of fun!

Today we have been practising place value in our maths lesson. We used the ten frames and counters to make numbers and problem solve.
