The children have been looking at different apps. We have been on zookazam looking at different animals , we managed to convince one to come in our classroom. We talked about what it looks like, how it moved, why it doesn’t look like any other animal etc . The children loved having a chameleon in their classroom.
Reception have been learning about different apps on the iPad. We have been creating our own stories and games!
The children were thinking of ways that the gingerbread man could cross the river. They decided to build him a boat but what from?! We discussed different materials and tested if they floated or sank.
The children have been measuring objects in the classroom. Can they measure anything at home?
We made some beautiful Christmas cards with help from friends of Woodfield. Thank you so much ladies! The children have really enjoyed being crafty.
We had our phonics lesson outside. Being outside is so beneficial to our brains making our learning stronger.
We had an unexpected facetime call from Father Christmas. We were so excited and he asked us lots of questions. It gave us ideas of what to write in our letters to him.
We are so special because not every Reception class has had a phone call from Father Christmas already!
The children are getting confident with bee bots!
The children are making salt dough ornaments ready for Christmas!
