The children have been practicing their parade. We are excited to show the other children on Monday.

We have had an amazing time trying all the different foods with chopsticks!

The children are painting the Chinese flag .

The children have put chocolate coins in red envelopes to represent money and good luck. We have chosen teachers and helpers in school to give them too.

The children have been making Chinese kites!

The children have been creating the Chinese flag using the IPads.

As the children have been learning about people who help us, the story we read last week was called The Jolly Postman. We discussed how lovely the postman was and how he delivered important letters . We discussed that school has a postman and without him our letter from the queen wouldn’t have arrived! So we wrote him letters to say thank you for helping us.

This week the children are preparing for Chinese New Year!

We are extremely excited and will be learning lots about the Chinese culture. We will be singing songs, dancing, making crafts, counting in Chinese , writing in Chinese and trying some Chinese food.
