The children learnt all about Valentine’s Day And how different countries celebrate it. We made flowers for our loved ones.

All the children have lines for our assembly . I have sent these home for the children to learn over half term. Thank you for your cooperation.

Today the children have made and sent their invitations to their special somebody.

We had some extra special visitors today. The police officers and cunstable cub came to Reception to talk about how they help us, they showed us their uniforms and let us try them on. Miss Warren tried on the uniform too! We asked lots of questions and learnt lots!

For homework this week can all children send a picture of themselves and their special somebody who they are inviting to the afternoon tea in March please. Letters have already been sent out but please let me know if you havn’t had one. The children will be sending their special someone a personal invitation as well. The photograph must be sent in electronically to enquiries@admin.woodfield.wigan.sch.uk

The children have been outside exploring the different areas. We are so lucky to have such a big space.

We have been crime scene investigators this morning, last night there was a crime in our class room. We have found sticks, straw , piggy bank, tea cups and bricks. 

our topic this term has been people who help us. Mrs Kelsall came into school to speak to us about being a nurse. She wrapped Alfie up in a bandage and took Miss Warrens blood pressure.
